Review for Cuisinart DCC Brew Central-1200 12 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker - ReviewingShip
Hi guys, today I'm reviewing the Cuisinart 12 cup coffee maker it measures about 14 inches tall and 8 inches wide. This is not a compact machine so it will take up some space on your countertop it's also a pretty tall machine so make sure that it will fit underneath your cabinets the design is very sleek and the brushed chrome finish looks good in your kitchen.
About This Coffee Maker:

The brew-pause function lets you enjoy a cup of coffee before brewing is finished. The adjustable heating plate (low, medium, high) ensures that your coffee is kept at the temperature you like best.
Brewing starts 24 hours in advance, programmable automatic shutdown from 0 to 4 hours plus a 1 to 4 cup function when less than 5 cups are prepared
Includes carbon water filter and permanent gold filter that ensures only the freshest coffee flavor flows through. Measuring spoon. Instruction book
Product built to North American electrical standards. The carbon water filter (removes impurities) and the dimension (LxWxH) is 7.75 inches x 9.00 inches x 14.00 inches.
It also comes in a few colors like metallic pink red and black the unit comes with a charcoal filter and the filter goes into its holder the unit also comes with a gold-tone filter. The filter basket a measuring scoop some paper filters and an instruction booklet are included the glass carafe holds 12 cups. Has a nice sturdy handle the lid is not flipped up which I find a little bit inconvenient.
The heating plate is adjustable and you can set it to low medium or high using this button that's a neat feature that I haven't come across and a lot of coffee makers it has a black nonstick coating and a scratch-resistant.
All the parts that come in contact with water or coffee are BPA free for water there is a stair-step cup measure inside the tank and it's clearly marked it's programmable, so you can set the time you want coffee to brew there's an LCD digital clock there's also a 1 to 4 cup button that you press when you're making less than 5 cups of coffee.
This makes sure your smaller cup of coffee is just as hot as when you make more than five cups there's also an auto-shutoff feature you can set the Machine to turn off 0 to 4 hours after brewing is finished.
The flip switch is the on/off and it's very retro the whole unit feels like a very solid machine before brewing your first cup of coffee. Fill the reservoir with cold water and run it to flush out the coffee maker don't add Coffee let's go ahead and brew four cups of coffee, I won't be using the charcoal filter because I'm using filtered water I've put four cups of brown coffee in the filter and I'm going to pour my four cups of water into the reservoir.
It's a little awkward pouring the water in because the reservoir opening is so narrow when I measure my water I always put in a little extra, because some of the water may be lost as steam if you plan on making a whole pot of coffee just remember that the maximum amount of coffee that you can put in the filter is fifteen tablespoons to brew make sure your dial is set to brew and turn the machine on you'll see the red light there supposed to be a showerhead effect.
The water is evenly distributed over the coffee grounds if you need that cup of coffee before the pot is finished brewing you can pull it out no dripping for up to 30 seconds. The coffee will be stronger than the rest of the pot when the coffee is finished brewing you'll hear the five beeps I do like hearing the beeps because then I know my coffees did wait a few seconds after the beeping to pull out the coffee pot.
This coffee may still be dripping into the pot it took just about five minutes to prove four cups of coffee. The coffee is super hot I'll take a sip it's a really good full-flavored cup of coffee some of the less expensive coffee machines can produce coffee with a plasticky smell or taste but this unit doesn't have any of that cleaning is simple.
The filter basket filter pot and lid can go on the top rack of your dishwasher or hand wash with warm soapy water there is a self-clean feature and the flashing clean light tells you when it's time to clean the coffee maker by pouring a vinegar-water solution into the tank remember to remove the charcoal filter before cleaning the machine overall the Cuisinart is a solid coffee maker it looks great and proves a good cup of coffee for the design and the features that it offers is also reasonably priced I hope you found this review useful.
